Basic Distribution with List Building 101

This class will introduce you to the basic navigation, as well as media contact and search techniques and the distribution process. Learn how to communicate to your desired media contacts and/or outlets. By the end of the class, you will know how to build a media contact list using the most common fields including subjects, medium, and geographic location. You will also be able to send press releases, pitches, media advisories, etc., using existing lists or contact/outlet results. Vocus distribution provides the tools to tailor and personalize distributions. PR Web will not be covered during this session.

PRWeb 101

This is a theory based class that will outline what it means to distribute news online, focusing on how to leverage PRWeb for a wide variety of goals including publicity, search marketing, social marketing and content marketing. In addition to a discussion about strategies for building a strong digital reputation, this class will also cover practical recommendations such as topics that are good for news announcements, common pitfalls to avoid and what the Editorial Guidelines are and how they reflect best practices. By the end of the class, you will have a firm understanding of how PRWeb news releases are a critical part of a well-rounded marketing strategy.

Marketing Automation has a reputation for being for complex and just for the big-budgeted few. Finally, strategies on optimizing your news release for maximum distribution on the web will be presented, with a focus on search engine optimization techniques that are appropriate and effective within a news release.
