Kevin J. Burns

Mr. Burns co-founded Lazard Technology Partners in 1998 and leads the fund's
software investment practice. He has led several LTP investments including
SignalSoft, Compatible Systems and Terascape, and currently serves on boards
including Intellitactics, Managed Objects, Cyveillance and Vocus. Mr. Burns
has been actively involved as a director of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association
(MAVA) since 1998. In January 2005, Mr. Burns was elected by the board of
directors to a 3-year term as President of MAVA. Prior to LTP, Mr. Burns was
the founder, President and CEO of Intersolv, Inc. from 1982 to 1996. Over this
period, Intersolv, Inc. developed and launched market-leading software products
in the application development and management space and raised venture capital
from leading investors including New Enterprise Associates and JH Whitney. The
company grew from a startup to a worldwide leader in application development
software with over $200M in revenue, over a thousand employees and customers in
twenty-two countries. Mr. Burns was CEO of Intersolv, Inc. at the time of
Intersolv's IPO in 1986. Subsequently, Intersolv, Inc. was acquired in 1998 by
Microfocus, a publicly-traded UK company, in a transaction valued at
approximately $630 million. Mr. Burns holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
business finance from Ohio State University, and a Master's degree in Business
Administration from the University of Colorado.
