Mary Orndorff Troyan is a Washington, D.C., correspondent for Gannett. Previously, she was a Washington correspondent for the Birmingham News, where also wrote for the paper’s Sweet Home Potomac blog. Orndorff Troyan joined the paper in 1995 and worked as a reporter and editorial writer. Prior to that, she was a reporter for the Montgomery Advertiser.

Orndorff Troyan graduated from Auburn University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
