Holly Samuels is a reporter and anchor for “2 News Sunrise” on WDTN in Ohio. Samuels has been with the station since March 2008. Prior to this position, she served in the same capacity at KVRR-TV in Fargo, N.D. She also interned for WAVE-TV in Louisville, Ky., and WIPB-TV in Muncie, Ind. She received the “Best Newscast” award in 2005 from the Indiana Association of School Broadcasters and earned first place in the “Best Broadcast Writing” category in 2011 from the Ohio Associated Press.
Samuels holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from Ball State University in Indiana, where she reported for “Newslink Indiana” on WIPB-TV and interned at WANE-TV.
