Oregon’s Woodburn Independent names editor

Lindsay Keefer has been named editor of the Woodburn Independent, replacing Jason Horton. Most recently, she covered education and community events for The Independent. Prior to joining the newspaper in December 2009, she worked for Suburban News Publications in Columbus, Ohio, where she covered two school districts and local news. She also worked for Columbus Parent Magazine and the Corning Leader in Corning, N.Y.

The Woodburn Independent has a daily circulation of approximately 4,300, and serves the town of Woodburn and surrounding areas in Marion County, Ore.
