Cable network G4 is ending its two longest-running shows. “Attack of the Show!” and “X-Play” will stop airing new programs at the end of the year. “X-Play” launched in 2003 and featured video game news, reviews and demonstrations. “Attack of the Show!” began in 2005 with pop culture, Web and gaming news. Both shows provided a platform for video game culture and were a launching pad for comedians and actors like Michael Ian Black, Rob Huebel, Olivia Munn and Chris Hardwick. The network has not said what kind of programming will replace these shows.
