Long-time political correspondent leaves KING-TV

Political correspondent Robert Mak has resigned from KING after 20 years with the station. Mak’s Sunday political talker “Up Front with Robert Mak” was cancelled last week, so he decided to leave the station rather than stay on as chief political reporter. The station recently cut seven news positions and has no plans to fill them. Mak reportedly said he hopes to stay in Seattle and work in journalism.

KING-TV is an NBC affiliate serving the Seattle, Wash., viewing area.
