WWJ dropping its morning news
On Dec. 28, WWJ will end “First Forecast Mornings,” a two-hour early morning newscast that debuted in May 2009. It will be replaced by CBS network news from 5 to 6 a.m. and “Dr. Phil” from 6 to 7 a.m. ET. WWJ ended its traditional evening newscasts in 2002, but still features weather updates at 5 and 11 p.m. ET. The morning show was the only customary news program airing on the CBS affiliate.
WWJ-TV is a CBS affiliate serving the Detroit viewing area.
