Dan Barkin is a senior editor for the News & Observer. He is responsible for all state, local, political, business and features news, as well as multimedia and news content on the paper’s website. Barkin previously served as deputy managing editor and business editor at the paper. Prior to that, he worked at the Baltimore Sun as an assistant business editor from 1995 to 1996.
Barkin has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland.
