Pete Petoniak is the director of meteorology and co-host of “Good Day Wisconsin” for WLUK. Prior to joining the station, he was an operations manager of WHIZ-FM in Zanesville, Ohio, where he led the station to win the National Association of Broadcasters’ Marconi Award for Small Market Station of the Year. Petoniak is a two-time Emmy-nominee and his “Weather Whys” series earned a Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Award. He also holds a meteorological seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
Petoniak earned bachelor’s degrees in broadcast journalism and political science from Ohio State University, and his broadcast meteorology certificate from Mississippi State University.
